My beloved community, Uzuakoli is currently enjoying Dividends of Democracy, never before seen in history of the community.
Since his inauguration in 2019 as the House of Representatives Member for Bende Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Uzuakoli had been demonstrating genuine commitment to the socioeconomic, welfare and infrastructural development of Uzuakoli.
Under the transformative and impactful Representation of the Deputy Speaker, Uzuakoli, an appreciable number of Uzuakoli sons have been appointed to exalted political positions, while many others have been gainfully employed in Federal Ministries, Agencies and Institutions.
The visible impact of the Deputy Speaker’s development strides in Uzuakoli is very glaringly noticeable, even to a casual passerby.
Feeder roads and its rural arteries, like Okwu Amuhi and Ihemba roads, which had remained impassable and derelict since the end of the civil war, have been professionally asphalted with drainages, and finished with solar street lights.
The Deputy Speaker constructed and furnished many modern classroom blocks, including ITC Centres(under construction), in Primary and Secondary Schools in Uzuakoli.
Uzuakoli indigenes now enjoy more access to portable drinking water, courtesy of the Deputy Speaker who has constructed and commissioned portable water schemes in in Uzuakoli.
In his avowed commitment to the welfare of this great community, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu PhD CFR, has visited the Uzo Amewu erosion disaster site and affirmed his resolve to tackle the menace as as he dedicatedly pursues all bureaucratic avenues to speedily mobilize for the project.
In appreciation of these verifiable Dividends of Democracy, the Uzuakoli Council of Traditional Rulers, led by the Ozuo 2 of Uzuakoli, HrH Eze Kanu Ikonte, conferred on the Deputy Speaker, the traditional title of Omenkahuruanya, while
the Chairman, Bende Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Uchendu Okorie, (Ekwo 1 of Akekwo)on behalf of the royal fathers, issued a heartfelt appreciation to the Deputy Speaker for his impactful
Representation.
