On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, undertook a significant journey through several communities within the Bende Federal Constituency.
His visit was marked by the inauguration of several pivotal projects aimed at enhancing the livelihood and educational facilities in the areas of Nkpa, Lohum Imenyi, and Alayi.

Among the highlight activities of the day was the commissioning of a cassava mill in Nkpa. This facility is expected to empower local farmers by providing them with the means to process their cassava into value-added products.
