I’ve watched the Abia State Publicity Secretary of Labour Party, Iroegbu Emenike jump into every conversation that concerns Bende like he’s going insane, and one begins to wonder whether he understands how government budgeting and implementation actually work, or whether he simply rushes to social media for political attention.
And I can’t help but ask, enyi ahu odikwa sir.

Now, let’s educate those low lives who deliberately twist issues for cheap propaganda to appease their gods.
First, this intervention did not fall from the sky. Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has never hidden his Christian faith.
For years, he consistently promised the Christian community that if given the opportunity to serve in higher office, he would support faith based institutions that play critical roles in moral development, peacebuilding, reconciliation, youth mentorship and community stability.
Churches are not mere buildings.
They are institutions that shape character, promote discipline, preach peace and help keep our communities together.
The same government budgets for town halls because they serve as community meeting points.
Government also supports traditional institutions because they preserve culture and social order.
So why should supporting faith based institutions suddenly become a crime?
Those pretending not to understand this are simply playing politics with everything.
Secondly, anyone who has even a basic understanding of Nigeria’s budget process knows that a budget line is not the same thing as cash already released.
The 2026 Appropriation contains provisions. That does not mean procurement has commenced.
No procurement.
No contract award.
No implementation.
No distribution.
So when one low life and his cohorts screams, Where is the 1 billion?, the simple answer is that implementation has not even reached that stage.
The money has not magically disappeared because there has been no execution of that budget item yet.
It is still awaiting implementation in accordance with the government’s procurement and release process.
Thirdly, those shouting 1 billion either do not understand or deliberately ignore the fact that budgetary provisions are subject to statutory deductions and procurement processes.
Oh, I don forget, do they read? They have issues with comprehension but I will always help to educate them.
If approximately 780 million naira eventually becomes available after applicable deductions and procurement adjustments, and the intervention targets about 130 churches across Bende Federal Constituency which is the 10 churches per ward, my own ward get more than 20 churches sef, that comes to roughly ₦6 million per church.

Now let’s ask sincere questions.
Is ₦6 million too much to support a church’s public address system, evangelism materials, instruments, or other approved equipment?
Is investing in institutions that help raise morally responsible citizens suddenly a crime?
The same people who celebrate allocations to other sectors suddenly develop selective outrage simply because Rt. Benjamin Kalu’s name is attached to this one.
The hypocrisy is obvious and it will choke them.
Rt.Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu should be commended for boldly standing by his faith and publicly supporting the Christian community.
In a time when many politicians shy away from openly identifying with their faith for fear of criticism, he has remained steadfast.
That is the mark of a true Christian, one who does not hide his support for the Church and its efforts in building lives, shaping morals and strengthening our value system.
Churches deserve support just as other religious institutions receive support.
Bikonu, is this same government not budgeting every year for Christian and Muslim pilgrimages to Israel and Saudi Arabia to strengthen people’s faith? Has anyone called that a crime?
Has anyone asked why government is supporting pilgrimages?
So why are enemies of the Church suddenly shouting because it is now the turn of churches to benefit from a lawful budgetary intervention?
Why the selective outrage from ndi obi ojoo.
Churches in Abia, please take note.
When support comes to strengthen the work of God and the advancement of the Christian faith, some people suddenly develop sleepless nights not because anything illegal has happened, but simply because Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu’s name is attached to it.
The hypocrisy is loud enough for everyone to see sha.
