Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an interim order restraining the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions from conducting a disciplinary proceeding against the Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The presiding judge, Obiora Egwuatu, gave the order on Tuesday, March 4, following an ex parte application filed by Akpoti-Uduaghan’s counsel.

The ruling comes as the committee was set to convene and potentially impose an indefinite suspension on the senator.

This interim order halts all proceedings on the matter pending further judicial review.
