Abia State continues to make its mark on the national stage as the City Boy Movement records an impressive 337,720 members in the state, placing Abia third among states with the highest membership on the platform.
According to the membership statistics displayed in the report, Abia ranks third nationally, behind the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with 830,993 members, and Kano State, with 496,494 members. Abia’s remarkable position places it ahead of several other states, including Delta, Lagos, Oyo, Benue, and Adamawa.
This achievement reflects the growing reach and organisational strength of the City Boy Movement in Abia State. It highlights the dedication of the leadership, the efforts of its coordinators, and the active participation of the men and women who believe in the movement’s vision.
Much of the credit goes to the State Director of the City Boy Movement in Abia State, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu, whose leadership continues to inspire mobilisation, coordination, and grassroots participation.
Building a movement of this scale requires more than a title. It demands strategic thinking, effective coordination, consistent engagement, and the ability to bring people together around a shared purpose. Abia’s third-place ranking is a strong indication of the work being done to expand the movement’s presence and strengthen its structure across the state.
Don Lulu deserves commendation for his leadership and for the efforts being made to position Abia prominently within the national movement. His role in coordinating the state’s activities and encouraging wider participation remains an important part of this progress.
This milestone also belongs to the entire Abia City Boy family: the state and local government coordinators, ward leaders, mobilisers, volunteers, supporters, and every individual who has contributed time, energy, and resources to the movement.
Every registration, every conversation, every mobilisation effort, and every connection made at the grassroots level has helped build the platform into what it is today. Leadership provides direction, but it is the collective effort of the team that turns a vision into measurable progress.
To everyone who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes, this achievement is a well-deserved recognition of your dedication. Your efforts demonstrate what can be accomplished when leadership, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose come together.
While Abia celebrates this impressive milestone, the goal must be to sustain the momentum, strengthen the existing structure, reach more communities, and consolidate the state’s position nationally.
Coming third is worthy of celebration, but it should also inspire the team to aim higher. With continued coordination, wider grassroots engagement, and the active participation of members across the state, Abia can build on this achievement and compete for an even stronger position.
Congratulations to Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), the State Director, and the entire Abia City Boy Movement family. This is a collective achievement and a proud moment for everyone who has contributed to the journey.
Abia has shown that with purposeful leadership, a well-organised team, and effective mobilisation, impressive results are possible.
The work continues. The structure is growing. The momentum is building.
ABIA CITY BOY MOVEMENT: 337,720 MEMBERS. THIRD PLACE NATIONWIDE. A PROUD MILESTONE, A STRONGER MOVEMENT, AND A BIGGER VISION AHEAD.
