In a significant boost to local agriculture and food production, the *LIFE-ND program* of the *Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)* has commissioned and handed over a newly built *rice processing mill* to the *Amamba Uzuakoli community* in *Bende Local Government Area, Abia State*.

The facility, designed to *support rice incubators and enhance rice production* in the region, was officially commissioned yesterday by the *Abia State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Clifford Agbaeze*. Speaking at the event, Dr. Agbaeze commended the initiative, emphasizing its role in *empowering local farmers, increasing food production, and fostering economic growth* within the community.

The newly commissioned mill is expected to *boost rice processing capacity*, create job opportunities, and encourage more participation in agriculture, aligning with the state and federal government’s vision for *food security and rural development*.

Community leaders and beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the intervention, describing it as a *transformational project* that will *enhance productivity and improve livelihoods* in Amamba Uzuakoli and beyond.

The commissioning marks another milestone in the NDDC’s commitment to *agricultural development and youth empowerment* across the Niger Delta region.
